De Paul Ministry
St. Vincent de Paul was renowned for his compassion, humility, and generosity. He’s also known as the “Great Apostle of Charity.” We place our ministry to those in need under his patronage.
Mission of De Paul Ministry
The Parish Community of St. Bart’s strives to answer God’s call to act justly, love tenderly, and walk humbly with God. The mission of De Paul Ministry is to help enlist the time, talent, and treasure of our faith community to respond to human needs within our parish, in our community and country, in the local and universal Church, and indeed throughout the world.

Food Pantry
Each week, through our Food Pantry, St. Bart’s provides non-perishable food items, paper goods, and some personal supplies to about 17 families (parishioners and non-parishioners) to help supplement their needs and ease their worries. In 2015 over 500 bags were given out.
If you need assistance, please come on Tuesdays, between 4 and 4:30 pm. The Pantry is located in the basement of the rectory.
We also provide emergency food assistance as needed. Call for a one-time help or to add your name on our list. Your privacy is of concern to us, as well as your dignity. Rich Scardino coordinated the Food Pantry and he can be reached at 914-968-3248 or 914-263-2227.
Advent Giving Tree
Through our Advent Giving Tree we offer our parish families the opportunity to share their blessings and love with those who are less fortunate. The tree is decorated with colored tags with names of individuals from our Sharing Communities. This program provides parishioners with an opportunity to do something for those who would otherwise not have a very merry Christmas without their generosity. In December 2015 we provided about 395 gifts to 4 communities.
Sharing Community Monthly Meal
St. Bart’s Parish prepares a once a month meal of baked ziti which is given to the Sharing Community in downtown Yonkers. St. Bart’s averages about 20 trays of food on the first Thursday of every month. The Sharing Community feeds lunch to over 200 people daily.
Feed Thy Neighbor Campaign
This is a once a year program through which food is collected for those in need.
Holiday Baskets
Special holiday baskets are collected and distributed during the Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.
Christmas Holiday Party
St. Bart’s organizes a Holiday Luncheon through which we reach out to those less fortunate and help them to celebrate the Christmas season.
