Ministry Purpose/ObjectiveHelp the parish and parishioners become more prayerful and help intercede for the needs of the parish, parishioners, and indeed all God’s children, beginning with their own needs
Eucharistic Adoration Member Position Description
Reports to: Coordinator/Chair of Eucharistic Adoration
General Responsibilities of Every Ministry and Committee Member:
Specific Responsibilities of Eucharistic Adoration Members
- Strive to grow deeper in their own faith, above all through Eucharistic adoration.
- Help to make Eucharistic adoration opportunities available to parishioners and visitors by volunteering to stay and pray before the Blessed Sacrament for an hour or more on First Fridays and First Saturdays.
- Pray for any specific intentions the pastor might request on behalf of someone in need
- Fulfill their assigned or chosen hour
- If and when they could not cover their chosen hour or they are running late, call the Coordinator to make arrangement for a replacement.
- Strive to understand what Eucharistic Adoration is and share the message with others who might inquire.
- Strive to really understand what prayer is and what Eucharistic Adoration is, so as to help other parishioners to understand and to grow in their prayer life.
- Help to recruit new members.
Special Activities
- Attend annual parish Ministry Recollection Day
- Annual Parish Ministry Appreciation Dinner
- Help out with extra Eucharistic Adoration days that might be scheduled by the parish, for instance during Lent.
Time Commitment
- At least one hour each month.
Expected Length of Commitment
- Depends on the Volunteer’s available time

Eucharistic Adoration Coordinator/Chairperson Position Description
Reports to: The pastor and Commission Chair
General Responsibilities of Every Ministry and Committee Chairperson and Coordinator:
Specific Responsibilities of Eucharistic Adoration Coordinator
- Maintain a current list of members
- Call members to schedule them for the First Friday and First Saturday adoration each month
- Ensure there’s always a backup for each scheduled adoration hour
- Strive to really understand what prayer is and what Eucharistic Adoration is, so as to help members, old and new, to understand and to grow in their prayer life.
- Work with pastor and associate pastor to assign prayer intentions to members when the need arises
- Look for opportunities to help members and parishioners grow in their knowledge and love of Eucharistic adoration
Special Activities
- Lenten and Advent Eucharistic Adoration
Time of Commitment and Expected Length of Commitment
- Their assigned one hour per month
- Extra one hour to coordinator the schedule each month.
- Length of commitment depends on volunteer’s availability

- Patience and zeal to help others pray and grow in faith
