Order of Christian Initiation - OCIA

Welcoming Adults into the Catholic Faith

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the process through which adults, unbaptized children ages seven and above, and teens & adults ages 14 & up who have not yet made First Communion learn about the Catholic faith, grow in discipleship, and prepare to receive the Sacraments of Initiation—Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist. OCIA is a journey of prayer, study, and community, supported by parish members who accompany participants with encouragement and faith. The process respects each person’s faith journey and moves at a pace that supports authentic conversion and understanding. Children & teens journey with others of their age.

Family Faith Festivals

Growing in Faith—Together as a Family

Our parish joyfully invites all families to participate in our Family Faith Festivals, special gatherings that bring parents and children together to learn, pray, and celebrate our Catholic faith in a fun and meaningful way.

These festivals are designed to support families as the domestic church—the first and most important place where faith is lived and passed on. Each event blends food, fellowship, prayer, and hands-on activities, creating a joyful space for families to experience the beauty of our faith side by side.

Shared Meals & Community We begin by enjoying food and fellowship as a parish family—a chance to meet other parents, strengthen community, and build friendships rooted in Christ.

Prayer as a Family Each festival includes a prayer experience that families can participate in together, such as Scripture reflections, simple devotions, seasonal prayers, or time in the church.

Interactive Faith Activities Through creative stations and activities—crafts, games, storytelling, service projects, and more—children and parents explore key themes of our Catholic faith. These activities are designed to be fun, memorable, and easy to bring home.

Why Family Faith Festivals Matter

  • They help parents feel confident sharing the faith with their children.
  • They give children positive, joyful encounters with God and the Church.
  • They strengthen the bond between families and our parish community.
  • They support the truth that faith is something we grow in together—not just in a classroom.

All Families Are Welcome

Whether you have young children, older children, or a mix of both, our Family Faith Festivals offer something for everyone. Come connect with other families, deepen your faith, and create meaningful memories with your children.
